ATMI System

Automatic Tire Monitoring & Inflation

"Saving Fuel, Lives,
& Our Planet"

System CADThe patents pending MAXAIR system for passenger vehicles have slight modifications for the various axle designs that are currently manufactured for new cars, light trucks, and SUV’s on the market. However, the system operates the same for all vehicles.

The installed system has an onboard air compressor, which supplies an “air supply tank”. Air travels thru the pre-set regulator that is set at the recommended cold tire setting and travels thru 5/32” nylon line to each rotary union located at each wheel. A quick disconnect is used in each wheel that uncouples with the push of one finger. The air then flows thru the wheel to the tire. Each wheel has its own check valve along with a digital sensor that sends an immediate hardwire signal to the dash area gauge that displays the pressure of all four tires as well as the air supply tank pressure. As the pressure in the air supply tank drops below 100psi, the low-pressure switch sends a positive current to the solenoid switch instructing the compressor to turn on and fill the air supply tank to 120psi. When a tire is punctured or is otherwise compromised and does not exceed 4scfm’s of air loss, the compressor will continue to cycle and replenish the tire so that the driver can directly have the tire repaired or replaced. If however, the dash gauge does not show the air supply tank pressure being replenished, this is an indication of extreme rapid pressure loss and the tire needs to be changed immediately.

This system eliminates human intervention in maintaining proper tire pressure. Should the tire need to be replaced; there is no need for special tools or recalibration and mounting new tires filled with nitrogen does not affect the ATMI system.

MAXAIR also provides an accessory air supply for recreational use such as inflating bike tires, air mattresses, sports balls, or other tires that may need air.
